ITINERARY

  • DAY 1
Itinerary: Machu Picchu by Car - Scenic Drive and Trek to Aguas Calientes
  • Pick up in Cusco.

    • A transfer from Machu Picchu GATEWAY will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco at 6:30 AM.
    • Depart from Cusco for a 5-6 hour scenic drive to Hidroelectrica.

  • Lunch in Hidroelectrica:

    • Stop at Hidroelectrica for a delicious local lunch.

  • Trek to Aguas Calientes

    • After lunch, embark on a 3-hour, 11 km trek along flat terrain to Aguas Calientes, the base town of Machu Picchu.

  • Check-in at the hotel

    • Arrive in Aguas Calientes and check-in at your hotel. Freshen up and relax.

  • Dinner in Aguas Calientes

    • In the evening, enjoy a scrumptious dinner in the town.

Itinerary: Machu Picchu by Car - Exploring the Inca Citadel and Surroundings
  • Transportation to Machu Picchu:

    • Choose between walking or taking a bus to the citadel.
    • If taking the bus, purchase a ticket in Aguas Calientes for $12.
    • If walking, start the ascent at 4:30 AM after breakfast to reach the main entrance by 6 AM.

  • Meeting point at Machu Picchu:

    • Regardless of the chosen mode of transportation, meet at the main entrance of Machu Picchu at 06:00 AM.

  • Guided Tour

    • Your guide will lead you on a tour of the Inca site
    • Enjoy free time to explore the area at your own pace.

  • Return Journey

    • Begin the trek back from Machu Picchu to Hidroelectrica at around 10:00 AM.
    • The trek takes approximately 3.5 hours.

  • Departure from Hidroelectrica:

    • Reach Hidroelectrica in time to board the car for Cusco between 01:45 PM and 02:00 PM.
    • Relax and reflect on your Machu Picchu experience during the journey.

HOW TO BOOK

FOLLOW THESE SIMPLE STEPS:

  1. First select the best package for you.
  2. Fill in “Book Online” FORM, select the date, and complete the booking information. Have one person fill it out for the entire group to ensure you’re booked together.
  3. Make a payment online using any debit or credit card, Our system will charge you 40% in advance of the total number of passengers.
  4. When you complete your payment, you will receive an email from our reservations staff, who will ask you for the following information for each passengers (by email and photo).

Optional: You can pay the full tour amount upfront to avoid any future payment concerns. Ask for the total payment link.

 

The remaining BALANCE is due 48 hours before the tour begins. You can pay in CASH (soles or dollars) or CREDIT CARD (+ 4 %) at the office in Cusco or in your hotel/hostal/apartament.

 

Travel Insurance: We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance to protect your investment. Obtain insurance before departing and consider working with a reputable agency for affordable coverage.

Student Discount: If your student card meets Peruvian government requirements, reserve the tour with a deposit and pay the remaining balance upon arrival in Cusco. The student discount will be applied at that time.
