    Trip from Lima to the City of Cusco

    Transfer from your hotel to the airport to take your flight to Cusco (FLIGHTS NOT INCLUDED). Reception at the airport and transfer to your hotel where you will receive an aromatic “mate de coca” to acclimatize to the altitude, you will have the rest of the day free to rest and we also suggest you take a light lunch. In the afternoon, approximately 1:45 p.m., you will start the tourist tour of the city of Cusco, where you will have the opportunity to visit 6 wonderful places. They will visit the Plaza de Armas, the Cathedral, Qoricancha (Temple of the Sun), they will also take a tour of archaeological centers such as the Fortress of Sacsayhuaman, Q’enqo, Puca Pucara, and Tambomachay. The tour ends at 6:30 p.m. in the Plaza de Armas in Cusco so that you can dine in one of the restaurants in the area.

    Knowing the Sacred Valley of the Incas

    After your breakfast at the hotel, we will pick you up at 08:15 am for a full day excursion through the Urubamba Valley visiting the colorful Indian market in Pisac where you will appreciate a mixture of color and tradition. Pisac is located at the entrance to the Sacred Valley followed by Ollantaytambo. Most people visit Pisac to see the market on Sundays, but there are smaller markets on both Tuesdays and Thursdays. However Pisac is a pretty town and has lots of small handicraft shops that are worth visiting any day of the week it is a good place to shop for local pottery, including a huge and varied collection of hand paintings. Lunch in a typical restaurant in Urubamba, then continue with Ollantaytambo, which is an attractive and small city located at the western end of the Sacred Valley, considered the oldest city in the entire American continent, it is located near some spectacular Inca ruins that protected strategically the entrance of the lower part of the Urubamba valley. The narrow streets of Ollantaytambo, along with sub-canals that have not changed since Inca times, evoke their ancestral heritage, then you will end up visiting Chinchero. Chinchero is a small Andean Indian town located high up on the windswept plains of Anta at 3762masl about 30 km from Cusco and is believed to be the Mythical Birthplace of the Rainbow. Its biggest attraction for tourism is its colorful Sunday market. At the end, they will return to Cusco arriving at approximately 6:30 p.m. to the Plaza Mayor of Cusco.

    Trip to the Archaeological Site of Machu Picchu

    After your breakfast at the hotel, you will be transferred to the train station that leaves for Aguas Calientes, the trip lasts about 4 hours. During the trip you will have an impressive view of the landscapes of the Sacred Valley in Urubamba and glimpse the Amazon jungle, showing a little of how much Peru has to offer. Upon arrival in the small town of Aguas Calientes, you will have to go to the bus station that will take you to the "Citadel of Machu Picchu" (only 20 minutes away) to start the guided tour of the historic Sanctuary, visiting the Main Square, the Circular Tower, the Sacred Solar Clock, the Royal Rooms, the Temple of the Three Windows and visit the archaeological remains where the Ancient Natives were buried, after the guide you will have free time to explore the area on your own, at the agreed time you will return to Aguas Calientes where you can relax in the hot springs or just spend the night at your hotel.

    Return from Machu Picchu to the City of Cusco

    Free day at your disposal, you can visit Machu Picchu again on your own (bus, entrance and guide not included this day). In the afternoon you will return to Cusco, reception at the train station and transfer to your hotel.

    Optional: You can make a second visit to Machu Picchu and have the opportunity to know more remote places such as Inti Punku (Puerta del Sol) or for more adventures you can take an excursion to the top of Huayna Picchu (young mountain ) or visit the Temple of the Moon and enjoy a spectacular view of the city. Or if you have good physical conditions, you can take an adrenaline-filled hike to the Putukusi mountain opposite Machu Picchu that allows us to have other unforgettable views of this new wonder.

    Final Transfer

    Breakfast at your hotel, transfer to the airport to take your flight to Lima, arriving in time to board your international flight.
