Pisac is located at the entrance to the Sacred Valley followed by Ollantaytambo. Most people visit Pisac to see the market on Sundays, but there are smaller markets on both Tuesday and Thursday. However Pisac is a pretty town and has a lot of small craft shops and is well worth a visit any day of the week as it is a good place to shop for local ceramics, including a huge and varied collection of multicolored hand painted pearls. Lunch in a typical restaurant in Urubamba then we continue with Ollantaytambo, which is an attractive small city located at the western end of the Sacred Valley, located at the foot of some spectacular Inca ruins that protected the strategic entrance to the lower part of the Urubamba Valley. The narrow streets of Ollantaytambo, along with its canals that have not changed since Inca times, evoke its ancestral heritage. Then the excursion ends with a visit to Chinchero. Chinchero is a small Andean Indian town situated high up on the windswept plains of Anta at 3762m about 30 km from Cusco and is believed to be the mythical birthplace of the rainbow. Now that you have visited the great Inca architectures it will be evident to you that the Sun was the main god worshiped in the Inca culture. Cusco celebrates Inti Raymi on the occasion of the winter solstice - the solar new year - for a city whose main object of worship was the god Inti (the sun). In the time of the Incas it was a religious ceremony, now it is a theatrical performance. However, this expression generates a feeling of identity in the city that evokes values and memories that are still excellent in our days and that also brings to mind a time that lives in the heart of the city of Cusco (Qosqo). The Inca gives a traditional speech, asking for the blessing of the sun, legendary as the origin of the Inca rulers. From here, the Inca, carried on a golden throne, leads the procession through the ancient city of Cusco to Sacsayhuaman in the hills above the city. Transfer to the ruins where there are reservations to see the recreation of the ancient ceremony of the sacrifice of a llama to Pachamama, Mother Earth (do not worry, llama sacrifices are simulated), to ensure the fertility of the land and the heat from the sun. This special day also includes the celebration of the New Fire. You will also see the representative of the Inca in a litter and toasting with chicha (fermented drink). With an appropriate ending the Inca gives a speech expressed in the original Quechua language. In the afternoon transfer to the hotel and spend the night.Includes Breakfast, Box Lunch
